Dark Secrets:Chapter 13

Starlight Glimmer's Pov: Me, Twilight, along with every pony else who was there with us, stood together as we entered the cave where Hard Stone is at. "Let Star Treasure go Hard Stone" Princess Celestia said as she glanced at Hard Stone with a glare upon her pony face. "I will, but first all of you princesses will combine your magic all at once, and then use it on my ageless spell, so that way whenever I use it on myself or on any other pony, it will have an everlasting effect on every pony who I use it on" Hard Stone said to all of us with a smirk upon his pony face.  "But if we do that, we'll also have to give up our ability to stop aging that we all got from the ageless spell in order for that to work" Princess Celestia said as she glanced at all of us worryingly. 

"Well, I guess I'll keep Star Treasure then," Hard Stone began. "Alright fine, we'll do it" Princess Celestia said as she and the other princesses got ready to cast the spell. "Wait princesses, let me talk to him," I said to the princesses getting an idea in my head. The princesses all glanced at each other for a moment but then they nodded their pony heads at me. "Hard Stone, I know exactly how you feel about Starswirl right now, and I know because I have been through what you've been through" I began with a gentle pony voice at Hard Stone.  Hard Stone just glares at me with a death glare upon his pony face.  

"You have no idea how I feel!" Hard Stone says as he looks at me with an angry look upon his pony face. "Yes, I do, you feel like you were betrayed by Starswirl, you feel like you can't trust any pony anymore, you feel like you must do whatever it takes to prove that you are better than Starswirl was, but most of all you feel like you're doing what you think is best for yourself" I said to Hard Stone still with a calm pony voice.  He just stares at me for a moment.

Trixie's Pov: I watched as Starlight Glimmer tried to talk some sense into Hard Stone. "If Hard Stone feels the way that Starlight has just described, then the great and powerful Trixie can also relate to this" I said as I walked over to Hard Stone in order to help my friend Starlight try to talk some sense into him. "How can you possibly relate you foolish magician?" Hard Stone shouts at me in a bit of a remarked pony tone in his voice.  "Because there was a time when Trixie was outraged by being humiliated by Twilight Sparkle's magic, after that she made Trixie and Trixie's magic become a laughing stock, Trixie was so outraged that Trixie acquired The Alicorn Amulet in order for Trixie to get her revenge on Twilight Sparkle, so trust Trixie when Trixie says that she too has been in your hooves" I explained to Hard Stone in response to his question. 

Hard Stone just stood there in silence for a moment.  "What are you trying to say ponies? You have just told me that you ponies used to be as bad as I was" Hard Stone said confused as to what we were trying to say to him.  "We're saying that you shouldn't take revenge Hard Stone, and yeah sure, we did used to be as bad as you were, but we have changed thanks to the help of Twilight and the magic of friendship" Starlight Glimmer said calmly to him. Hard Stone glances at us for a moment.

¨I used to think that friendship was magical just like you ponies did, but what if your friend's move away, what if they suddenly turn against you, what if they decide to never talk to you again because of an argument that you had with them, what if all of your friendships start crumbling apart piece by piece what then!" Hard Stone shouts at us trying to make some kind of point with the words that he was saying. ¨Hard Stone not all friendships are perfect, but just because you and your friend's can´t agree on some things that does not mean that the friendship has to end, you can always find a way to work it out, that's what friends do¨ Twilight explains to Hard Stone.  "Even if that is true some friendships don´t work out¨ Hard Stone points out.  "You can always start new friendships, isn't there some way that you can forgive Starswirl?" Twilight pointed out.  Hard Stone looked down at the ground for a moment or two.  

No One´s Pov (Third Person): Hard Stone glanced at the ponies with a cross look upon his pony face.  "That's exactly what Starbella asked me the last time that I saw her," Hard Stone replied as the screen starts to go into what looks like a flashback as he is telling us this, the flashback goes into what looks like Hard Stone's former home, as in the home he used to live in before he moved into the cave that he lives in now, the flashback shows Hard Stone to be working hard on the ageless spell that he is almost done making, when suddenly he is interrupted from his work when Starbella walks into the room.

"Hard Stone, we need to talk," Starbella said as she walked into the room to talk with Hard Stone.  Hard Stone turned towards her with an almost sympathetic look upon his pony face.  "What do you want Starbella?" Hard Stone asks as he glanced at her with his dark red eyes.  Starbella looked a bit frightened as she glanced at Hard Stone with her purplish pony eyes as she met his gaze.  "Hard Stone what happened to your eyes? They used to be as blue as the ocean, but now they're as red as blood, you have been practicing with your magic again haven't you?" Starbella asks him frightened.

"So what if I have? You don't care anyway," Hard Stone said as he turned away from Starbella.  "Hard Stone, I am just here with a message from Starswirl-" Starbella began. "Don't you dare speak that name around me; I swear if I have to hear that name one more time, I will sue!" Hard Stone barked at Starbella with an angry look upon his pony face.  Starbella backed up a bit. "Hard Stone, Starswirl along with me and Trickster have been very worried about you, you haven't been acting like yourself Hard Stone, you used to be kind and smart, but the pony you are now is not the pony that you used to be, please Hard Stone show me that the real you is still in there" Starbella begged Hard Stone with a hopeful look upon her pony face.

"This is the real me Starbella, the pony that I once was who you knew as your friend is gone, and I have taken his place, now please leave and get out of my sight Starbella, I have work to do" Hard Stone said as he turned his attention back to the work that he was doing on finishing up his ageless spell. Starbella sighed in sadness as she glanced up at Hard Stone. "Very well, if you wish to be alone, then I will go, I just hope that you will find what you are looking for one day Hard Stone, I also hope that one day you will forgive Starswirl for whatever he has done wrong to you," Starbella said as she turned to leave the room.  "I shall never forgive him, because he and I are not friends anymore," Hard Stone said coldly. Starbella glanced at him. "Then I guess we're not friends anymore either, take care Hard Stone" Starbella said as she ran out of the room with a tear running down her pony face. The Flashback comes to an end as the screen fades to black.
